Product Overview

This series is part of BOTER’s comprehensive whole-home functional hardware system and comprises fixed hinges, including the FPT-SS stainless steel fixed low-angle damping hinge (with two-stage force for arbitrary stop), the FPT fixed low-angle damping hinge (with two-stage force for arbitrary stop), the FR-SS/FRT-SS stainless steel fixed damping hinges (with single-stage force or two-stage positioning force), the FR/FRT fixed damping hinges (with single-stage force or two-stage positioning force), and the FS/FST/FQ fixed damping hinges (with single-stage force, two-stage positioning force, or two-stage force with arbitrary stop). All five models feature a fixed design, with a standardized core hinge cup specification of 35 mm in diameter and 11.5 mm in depth. They are compatible with two door-thickness ranges: the FPT series for 14–23 mm, and the remaining series for 14–22 mm. The maximum opening angle is 103°/105°, and they support precise three-dimensional adjustment. Complete installation accessories and decorative covers are also provided.
The core materials for each model are available in two types: cold-rolled steel with a nickel-plated surface, and 304/201 stainless steel with a polished stainless-steel finish. The opening-and-closing force profiles include single-stage force control, two-stage positioning force control, and two-stage adjustable stop force control. The FPT series uniquely features a low-angle cushioning function of less than 10 degrees, and the entire series is equipped with damping.

Key selling points

Universal specifications with strong compatibility:
The hinge cups conform to the industry-standard specification of 35 mm in diameter and 11.5 mm in depth, accommodating door panels with thicknesses ranging from 14 to 23 mm and meeting the installation requirements of the vast majority of panel-style cabinets.
Multi-dimensional adjustment for precise control:
The entire series supports adjustments of ±1.5 mm in height, +5 mm in cover alignment, and +2.5 mm in door gap. Fine-tuning of level, depth, and height is achieved by rotating the adjustment screws and adjusting the side-panel base, enabling correction of installation errors and adaptation to various cabinet installation requirements.
Dual material options to suit different environments:
We offer two material options: cold-rolled steel with nickel plating and 304/201 stainless steel. The stainless steel version provides excellent corrosion and rust resistance, while the cold-rolled steel version offers superior cost-effectiveness, meeting the material requirements of various application scenarios.
Excellent damping performance:
The entire series comes standard with damping; the FPT series uniquely features low-angle buffering of less than 10 degrees, plus two-stage force for free-stop positioning. This ensures quiet, impact-free door closing and effective pinch protection. The two-stage-force and positionable two-stage-force models offer stable opening and closing positioning, while the free-stop models allow the door panel to be held at any desired open angle.
Rich and comprehensive force coverage:
It covers three types of opening-and-closing mechanisms: single-stage force, two-stage positioning force, and two-stage arbitrary-stop force. A single series can meet the opening-and-closing requirements of various cabinet bodies, eliminating the need to select components across different series.
Fully equipped, balancing practicality and aesthetics:
A complete set of installation components is provided, including matching rubber pads, screws, and quick-install fittings, along with RC35 cup-head decorative covers and RAC3-7 arm-body decorative covers, enabling concealed mounting and enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of the cabinet.

Use value

Enhancing the cabinet opening and closing experience: Damping buffers ensure quiet, impact-free door closure; low-angle buffering further eliminates the risk of fingers getting pinched. Two-stage force control and position-locking allow precise control over the door’s opening and closing angles, while the free-stop feature makes it easy to access items stored deep inside the cabinet, significantly enhancing user comfort.

Reduce installation and after-sales costs: The fixed structure ensures stable connections, while the multi-axis adjustment feature allows precise correction of dimensional deviations during installation—eliminating the need for re-drilling. In subsequent use, minor adjustments can be made to accommodate cabinet deformation and wear, thereby extending the service life of both the hinges and the cabinet itself.

Strong environmental adaptability and greater durability: The choice of dual materials allows for precise matching to the operating environment: the stainless steel version resists rust in humid and corrosive conditions, while the cold-rolled steel version offers excellent cost-effectiveness in dry environments, thereby preventing premature failure due to material mismatch.

Standardized design for easy selection and configuration: Standardized hinge cup specifications and unified adjustment parameters ensure high compatibility with mainstream panel furniture manufacturing processes, enabling standardized component selection for whole-house custom solutions. This reduces the variety of spare parts required and enhances the efficiency of component selection and installation.

Combines practicality with aesthetics: The complete set of installation accessories ensures a more secure and stable connection, while the decorative cover conceals the hinge mounting structure, resulting in a cleaner cabinet door surface. This design strikes a balance between the practicality of the hardware and the overall aesthetic appeal of the cabinet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Installation type

How are the distance from the door panel to the edge (K value) and the gap between the door panel and the cabinet side (A value) determined?

Answer: The K value (distance from the drill hole to the edge of the door panel) and the A value (gap between the door panel and the cabinet side panel) must be determined in accordance with the gap dimension calculation table provided with the product (Table A), selecting the appropriate values based on the door panel thickness (T value) and the cabinet type (full-overlay / half-overlay / concealed). The key is to ensure that the hinge cup size specified in the product manual matches the minimum door-opening clearance requirements.

What is the minimum door opening clearance corresponding to different door panel thicknesses (T values)?

Answer: For door panels with a thickness of 14–23 mm, the corresponding minimum door-opening clearance ranges from 0.3 to 3.8 mm, with slight variations depending on the specific model. The key reference values are as follows: for a 14-mm-thick panel, 0.3–0.4 mm; for a 15-mm-thick panel, 0.5 mm; for a 16-mm-thick panel, 0.6–0.8 mm; for a 17-mm-thick panel, 0.8–1.0 mm; for an 18-mm-thick panel, 1.0–1.1 mm; for a 19-mm-thick panel, 1.2–1.3 mm; for a 20-mm-thick panel, 1.5–1.6 mm; for a 21-mm-thick panel, 1.8–1.9 mm; for a 22-mm-thick panel, 2.1–2.3 mm; and for a 23-mm-thick panel, 2.4–2.7 mm. Selection must be made precisely according to the specification sheet for the corresponding hinge model.

Adjustment type

How do you adjust the height, cover position, and door gap using the adjustment screws on the base?

Answer: ① Height adjustment: Fine-tuning is achieved via the dedicated base mounted on the cabinet side panel, allowing for an adjustment range of ±1.5 mm in the vertical direction; ② Lid position/door gap adjustment: By rotating the adjusting screw at the corresponding hinge location, the lid position can be adjusted by up to +5 mm, and the door gap by up to +2.5 mm; ③ Leveling/depth adjustment: Simply rotate the leveling/depth adjustment screw on the hinge to increase or decrease the setting as needed.

How can excessive adjustment during the adjustment process be avoided to prevent hinge loosening or door panel misalignment?

Answer: Adjustments shall follow the principles of small, incremental fine-tuning and real-time inspection. For every 1/4 turn of the adjustment screw, check the fit between the door panel and the cabinet body as well as the uniformity of the door gap; stop immediately once the target condition is achieved. Avoid unlimited rotation of the adjustment screw, which could strip the threads or loosen the base mounting. After completion of adjustment, gently push the door panel to test its opening and closing; only after confirming there is no misalignment should the adjustment screw or base be lightly secured.

Using classes

How should one troubleshoot when the low-angle buffering function (less than 10 degrees) fails?

Answer: Only the FPT series is equipped with a low-angle buffering function for angles less than 10 degrees. When this function fails, the following issues should be investigated first: ① Whether dust or foreign objects have entered the damping core, causing the damping components to seize; if so, remove the obstructions and then perform a test. ② Whether the hinge installation is misaligned, resulting in the door panel pressing against the cabinet body and obstructing the damping mechanism; in this case, the hinge position should be slightly adjusted to relieve the obstruction on the damping mechanism. ③ Whether the damping components have lost their functionality due to wear or aging; if the failure is caused by component damage, the damping core or the entire hinge assembly must be replaced.

Second-stage force / Why can’t the second-stage-force positioning door panel be accurately positioned?

Answer: The main causes can be summarized as follows: ① Misalignment of the hinge installation—insufficient adjustment of horizontal and depth settings—results in uneven force distribution during door opening and closing; the hinge positioning must be finely readjusted. ② Jamming of the two-stage force/positioning components, caused by foreign objects or inadequate lubrication; after removing any obstructions, apply hardware-specific lubricant. ③ Loosening of the hinge mounting—failure to fully tighten the base or screws—leads to displacement during door operation; the fasteners must be re-tightened and the hinge position finely adjusted.

Why can’t the “arbitrary stop” function be achieved with a two-stage force-type door panel?

Answer: First, if the hinge installation angle is out of tolerance, the door panel will experience uneven force during opening and closing; in this case, the installation position should be adjusted by fine-tuning the horizontal and depth adjustment screws. Second, if the internal spring or damping mechanism of the self-stopping component is damaged, it will no longer provide stable support, necessitating replacement of the affected part. Third, if the door panel is excessively heavy and exceeds the hinge’s load-bearing capacity, a higher-capacity hinge must be installed, or the number of hinges must be increased.
